Last week I was hunting for a screen capture tool that would allow me to make a screen grab as an image to show to a customer. I’ve used various tools over the years from Jing to the Print Screen option on the keyboard and then posting the image into Fireworks and exporting a JPG or PNG of the image.
I stumbled upon a free browser plugin that works in Chrome, Firefox and Safari without any effort at all. You can capture the screen, part of the page, or the entire page with just a few clicks. You can also mark up the page with text and annotations and then upload it to share it with friends and collegues. This is the tool that we now use at Hands-on Web Hosting to help highlight issues when getting screengrabs for clients, and it should definitely be part of your arsenal also!
